SYNOPSIS

Segment One - Lauren roasts a room! Set in a Wayne's World / Y2K era basement, Lauren uses her Jersey, tough-guy charm to delve into the room's dysfunctional decor, with the aid of nostalgic set pieces- a TV/VCR + family home computer with interactive roast room photos, dioramas and wall flats.

Segment Two - With her ’97 Toyota pickup, and a shore trash assistant, Lauren does Facebook Marketplace + thrift store runs. Lauren develops an affordable facelift for the room, while we meet weird and colorful sellers, comically lug furniture to the truck, and endeavor to stay on budget.

Segment Three - We head to the room, roll up our leather jacket sleeves, and execute the redesign! We never meet the room donor, so there's no shame involved; just comedy that clears clutter!

Get It Outta Here!'s spankin' new, wise-cracking concept takes aim at saccharine and dated home redesign shows. Instead of highly produced redesigns that are financially unattainable for most audiences, the show feeds millennials’ desperate need for realistic, budget conscious home facelifts. The show encompasses a gritty DIY punk aesthetic, and empowers an exhausted generation with the belief that they, too, can learn the skills to execute an affordable redesign, one simple step at a time.

MEET THE CREATOR

Lauren Hrehovcik (ruh-HUV-check) is a former Los Angeles TV + Film Set Designer, Carpenter and Prop Assistant, and a current NJ Comedian + Functional Home Advisor. She was raised a stone's throw from the exotic MTV Jersey Shore House. She's a nostalgic, emo-alternative millennial, whose veins (and fists) pump with the blood of a filmmaker.
